Hello! I love to write stories that capture the imagination, show the magic in the mundane, or surprise in some way. I’m inspired by the natural world, by folklore (old and new), and by my own children and the way they see the world with wonder. I write fiction and nonfiction picture books.
I have a BS in Education, an MS in American Studies/Folklore, and work as a university writing instructor.
When I’m not writing I love to spend time with my family, whether that’s mountain biking, hiking, or just a good movie on the couch.
Thanks for stopping by!
